Marimekko Ostjakki 多彩地毯

The dusty blue and pink squares catch the light differently depending on where I stand, making the rug feel alive. It’s surprisingly soft underfoot too, not stiff like I worried a cotton weave might be.

The checkerboard pattern is so cheerful without being loud, and the pops of orange and red really make the dusty tones feel alive. I’ve had it down for a week and it’s already the first thing guests comment on when they walk in.

The dusty blue and green squares work perfectly with my neutral sofa, while the pops of vibrant orange really tie the whole room together. The wool feels substantial underfoot without being too heavy.
