Scala Ivory & Brown Flatwoven Rug by The Local Project

The plaid pattern reads way more architectural than I expected from the photos, almost like a blueprint laid flat. It's thin enough that doors glide right over it, which sold me on flatwoven in the first place. Three weeks in and the ivory and brown still look crisp, no shedding at all.

Wasn't sure how a flatwoven would feel underfoot but it's surprisingly soft, no scratchiness at all. The brown and ivory broken plaid reads way more modern than a traditional check, and it works great under our dining table without any bunching.

The plaid pattern has a crisp, architectural feel that really stands out in our living room. Love how the ivory and brown tones tie together with our other furniture—definitely gives the space a unique Australian vibe.
