Capture a moment of movement with our Fluttering Carnations Charcoal & Ivory Rug by The Local Project, designed by Brahman Perera. Inspired by the beauty of flowers tossed into the air, this design features a cascade of carnations fluttering from the bottom left corner. A palette of ivory, pops of pink, brighter cream, and mustard float against a soft black background. Water-resistant, stain-resistant, and machine-washable. Rug colors may vary slightly according to your device and the lighting in your space.

The charcoal floral pattern has so much depth and movement, it genuinely looks like petals drifting across the floor. The cut pile feels plush underfoot, and the charcoal tones hide dirt well in a busy hallway.

The ivory background really makes the charcoal floral pattern stand out, and the rug feels substantial yet soft underfoot. I love how it captures that sense of motion Brahman Perera intended, drifting like petals through my living room.

Lucy E. ★★★★★ Oct 18, 2026

The way the charcoal flowers seem to dance across the ivory background is even more striking in person than in the photos. It’s a beautiful, high-contrast piece that really anchors my living room.
