Let your room sing with our Morris & Co. Bird & Pomegranate Soft Black Rug. We've transformed the 1926 wallpaper design into a charming vignette with a modern, playful border. Originally inspired by views from William Morris's personal home, this whimsical scene features birds swooping, perching, and pecking amidst a maze of pomegranate plants. The composition features moody contrasted black, browns, gold and desaturated neutrals for a more subdued feel. Water-resistant, stain-resistant, and machine-washable. Rug colors may vary slightly according to your device and the lighting in your space.

The pomegranate and bird pattern really pops against the black background, exactly like the wallpaper design I remember. It arrived well-packaged and the pile is thick enough to feel substantial underfoot.

I was a bit worried the "soft black" might look flat in person, but the detailing on the pomegranates really pops. The border adds a nice playful touch without being too busy. It's held up well to daily foot traffic so far.

The design is lovely and exactly as pictured, but the border doesn't lie perfectly flat near the edge where it meets the wall. It works nicely in my living room and seems well-made for the price.
