Kolmikko Green & Pink Rug by Marimekko

The petals pop so vividly against that warm ivory base—every time I walk past it I stop and stare. The large-scale triplet print fills my living room floor with way more personality than I expected from a rug. It’s soft underfoot and the colors haven’t faded a bit after a month of daily vacuuming.

The collaged petal pattern feels almost sculptural up close, and the green-pink contrast pops nicely against my wood floors. Only wish the weave were a bit denser underfoot, but it looks exactly like the photos.

The ivory backdrop does a lot of heavy lifting, making those oversized green and pink petals feel fresh rather than loud, and the weave is dense enough to feel substantial underfoot. It’s a bit brighter in person than the photos suggest, but that’s not a bad thing for a sunny room.
