Ricardo チェッカーボード アイボリー＆ブラック ラグ by Humberto Leon

The distorted checkerboard pattern really does catch your eye from every angle, and the ivory and black contrast is bold without being overwhelming. I just wish the pile were a tiny bit thicker underfoot for the price.

This rug’s optical illusion is even stronger in person than online—the folds really do look like they’re shifting as you walk past. The ivory and black contrast keeps it from feeling too busy, though it does show dust more than I’d like.

The warped checkerboard pattern really does create that folding illusion they describe, it catches light differently from every angle. I knocked off one star because the weave feels a bit thinner than I expected for the price, but the visual effect is genuinely unique.
