Alder Rust Red & Blue Rug

The water-resistant feature was a pleasant surprise—our dog’s muddy paws wiped right off without staining. Colors are even richer in person, like an old heirloom that’s aged beautifully.

I was worried the red would be too loud, but it’s a warm, muted rust that blends beautifully with my blue sofa. The water-resistant finish is a lifesaver since my dog likes to track in mud.

The colors are even richer in person than in the photos—that rustic red really anchors the room. I spilled coffee on it the first week and the water-resistant finish wiped right off without leaving a mark, which is exactly what I needed with kids around.
